Science Education promoting Career Awareness

On 25.April at 3 pm in University of Tartu main building (Ülikooli 18) room no 204.

A major development, designed to attract young people to science studies and to raise scientific literacy among future citizens, has been to view science education as being ‘education through the context of science’. Science subjects in school have an impact on students’ future career choices and therefore need to provide students with knowledge about careers as well as skills to face challenging employment demands and working life. It is thus suggested that students need accurate information about science, technology, and engineering careers and this information needs to be part of science curricula.
