On 14–15 January, the conference “Teaching for learning 2026: anxiety and excitement of teaching” took place at the University of Tartu. The focus of the two-day event was on shaping an academic culture that supports learning and pedagogical wellbeing.

At the conference “Teaching for learning 2026”, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Aune Valk presented the teaching awards and the teaching quality award of 2025.

Marina Lepp, Associate Professor of Informatics at the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science, together with co-author Joosep Kaimre examined in a research article the impact of artificial intelligence tools on students’ academic outcomes. A total of 231 students took part in the study.

At the conference “Teaching for Learning 2025: Journey Towards Valued Teaching”, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Aune Valk presented the 2024 teaching awards and the teaching quality award.

Reocto joined the UT Institute of Computer Science software project course and presented the students with a task to create an innovative solution.

Karl Kruusamäe is fascinated by science at the frontiers of human knowledge: anything is possible. In his work, he is committed to developing collaboration between humans and robotics.

On 27 September, the presentation of the new university textbook took place at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology.
